I’m so honoured to have received the Best Lightning Talk award at the 2026 Hospice Palliative Care Ontario Annual Conference.

I had the privilege of presenting “CuddleCot and CuddleBlankets Across the Lifespan: Equity-Centered, Trauma-Informed Post-Death Care in Hospice and Palliative Settings,” sharing why compassionate, family-led bereavement care matters and why every family deserves time, choice, and dignity after loss.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported this work and to Flexmort CuddleCot™ for the opportunity to help raise awareness across Canada. It means so much to see bereavement care recognized as an essential part of hospice and palliative care.
