🐾 Meet Chester: The Dapper Gentleman Seeking His Chill Forever Home 🐾
Born on June 15th, 2020, this dapper old soul is looking for a relaxed home where he can live out his days in comfort and routine. Chester has had a bit of a rough journey, making this his second stay with us. He was originally adopted in 2021 with his sibling, Squeak, but found his way back to our care after a vet clinic contacted us. Now, he is fully healthy, happy, and ready for a fresh start.
🌟 Personality & Vibe
Chester is a wonderful, simple guy who loves a predictable daily routine and a quiet environment.
He is extremely affectionate and loving.
• The Social Scene: He enjoys the company of other animals. For children, he prefers watching toddlers from a safe distance but loves getting up close for affection from older kids. (But he wouldn't hurt anyone ever)
• Independent yet Affectionate: He is a low-energy cat. When the house gets too noisy, he simply tucks himself away in a quiet spot to decompress. Once he's recharged, he will seek you out for some wonderful, warm cuddles.
🩺 Health & Easy Medication Routine
Earlier this year, Chester was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease. Since starting his proper treatment, he has successfully grown back all of his fur and regained his handsome, healthy belly!
He will require medication for the rest of his life, but he makes the process completely stress-free. Both of his medications are given just once a day at breakfast time:
1. Prednisone(Liquid Medication): Drawn up with a syringe.
2. Florinef: A small, half-pill tablet.
How he takes them:
Chester is a dream to medicate! You simply mix both into a small dish with some wet food or a squeeze tube treat, and he licks the bowl clean immediately.
🍽️ Diet & Menu Preferences
Because one of his medications is Prednisone, Chester has a very healthy appetite. Portion control is highly recommended for this gentleman so he doesn't expand his belly too much!
Despite his large appetite, he is not a fan of fancy or exotic flavors. He knows what he likes:
• Favorites: Chicken and Tuna flavors. (If it's not chicken or tuna, he will simply walk away!)
⏰ Morning Routine
If you love a cat with personality, Chester is your guy. Every single morning, he is the absolute first one in the kitchen. He will vocalize loudly to tell you it's breakfast time and will actively try to hop onto the counter to speed up the process.
