It's that time of year again...time to register and get organized for the 2026-2027 Programming year! Get your child or youth signed up and ready to take part in tons of awesome, fun things!

❓ BGC Yorkton Registration FAQ: Things Parents & Guardians Want to Know!

What forms are included in the registration process?
➡ First up, all participants are required to fill out a BGC Yorkton Membership form. For youth in the Middle Years program areas, an Arrival & Departure form is included with the Membership form. All participants for a season (School Year 2026-2027) are required to complete a 2026-2027 Program Registration form.

What if I registered last year?
➡ That's awesome, and we love that you are back; however, you do have to complete a new set of Program Registration forms every school year! However, a Membership form is only completed once and is good for the entire time a youth is a member of the BGC Yorkton. The Arrival & Departure form only needs to be redone if updates are required!

How do I register?
➡ All forms are on the Club website www.bgcyorkton.ca or available in person at the Club Office (54 C Smith St W) or at the Club facility (78 First Ave N)

How do I turn in the forms?
➡ You can bring them to the Club office, bring them to a Club program or email them (only good quality scans will be accepted via email; no pictures)

How much does it cost to register?
➡ It's FREE to become a member of the BGC Yorkton and to register for the program year 😀

What info do I need to register?
➡ We collect basic info such as addresses, contact info, parent & guardian info, Saskatchewan Health Number and relevant behavioural/medical info that is necessary. All membership & registration forms are kept confidential.

Why do you get children and youth to register?
➡ It is all a part of our safeguarding process to ensure that we are providing a safe, welcoming space that meets participants' needs.

Who can register? Do I have to live in Yorkton?
➡ We welcome any youth to register with the BGCY. If you have any questions about your child or youth participation, please give us a call at 306-783-2582. You don't have to live in Yorkton; we have many members from surrounding communities who use the BGCY programs when in town!

What happens if my child or youth comes to a program with a friend and they don't have forms in yet?
➡ We understand this happens. Upon arrival, we will get a contact number for emergency purposes and send the child/youth home with all forms needed. They will NOT be permitted to attend any other Club programs until these forms are turned in.

School starts for our Middle Years youth in Kindergarten through age 12 on Wednesday, September 2nd! And our After-School program is ready to open our doors for them that day! If you aren't a member yet, don't worry, it's easy to sign up to the BGCY! School is almost back in session! Time flies! We are taking some time to move and set up the new space but Teen Programs will be back in action as of September 14th in a new location! Come check us out at 78 First Ave North!

As you are wrapping up your gardens and harvests this year, please consider donating extras to the BGCY! 💚💚💚

One of our colleagues at our National Conference shared this great program idea so we are starting it at the BGC Yorkton! We know many of you may have planted already but if you haven’t consider planting one extra row this year to donate to the BGC Yorkton Club for our Crops for Kids program! Even if you have already planted but end up with a surplus we would love to work with you! Your donations will keep kids bellies full and help them learn skills as we make meals & snacks together! Please share 😀🍓🫛🫑🥔

💚 Update on the latest happenings! 💚

‼️While summer is over, we haven't slowed down for a moment! We are busy getting ready for the school year! We have some of our staff working their tails off this week to move our teen centre to a new location!

➡ Starting September 2nd the Middle Years After School Program for youth in Kindergarten through age 12 will begin at 78 First Ave N! (Same location as last year!) 😀

➡ Starting on Monday September 14th the Teen Program for youth ages 12 to 18 will begin in a new location at 78 First Ave North - in the basement unit! The delay in starting this program is so we have time to move fully and set up! 😀

➡ As we are transitioning between the Smith Street location and the First Ave location our Office location and hours will be slightly all over the map! We anticipate our Office being fully moved over to the First Ave location no later than October 30th! 💖 In the meantime, we ask for your patience, and please just give us a call 306-783-2582 when needed! 💚
