Last week we hosted a youth through the Try a Career Program organized by . Amir was a pleasure to work with, and we wish him the absolute best in his future endeavors. We encourage all local businesses and organizations to hire youth—train, mentor, and grow our local talent!

Are you a youth from the ages of 15-30, living in Yellowknife, and wanting to try out a Career?

All youth are welcome to apply and have a chance to work for four days for any of the employers on the poster below!

There will be 2 cohorts, 1 will take place between June 29th and July 3rd, the 2nd cohort will take place between July 6th to July 9th.

Transportation and food vouchers are provided if needed! All information can be found on the sign up form below!

We are limited to 20 spots, youth will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

We’re looking for 10 amazing employers to be part of our Try A Career project this July! 🌟

This is your chance to mentor youth, share your knowledge, and help shape the future workforce! While giving them real, hands-on experience in your field.

✨ 4-day job shadow opportunity
✨ Support 2 youth participants
✨ Receive a $1,200 honourarium

Hazhǫ̀ Ełexè Łets’eèzhe community network is joining the annual Walk to Tuk walking challenge with NWT Parks & Recreation Association, starting January 1 till February 28, 2026.
