YWCA NWT Family Resource Centre The Family Resource Centre is a free program for children 0-6 and their parents/caregivers. Come check out our program. We can't wait to meet you!

We have drop-in play at our playroom centre, Fieldhouse play time, Infant play, and so much more! The Family Centre is open year-round and offers free programming for parents and guardians to play with children aged 0-6. The Family Centre is a warm, welcoming environment that creates growth and learning opportunities. This program assists parents and caregivers with young children in reducing isolation often associated with being a new parent. Moreover, it provides families a place away from home to connect, learn, and play with their children. The program is unique, as staff at the Centre and library work collaboratively with other Early Childhood professionals. The Family Centre is meeting the needs of our community by offering programs that stimulate young minds, encourage resilience, create a positive bond between parents and their children, and help foster healthy family relationships.
