Environmental Monitoring Advisory Board EMAB is a public watchdog for the environmental management of the Diavik Diamond Mine. EMAB was founded in 2001 under the Environmental Agreement.

The Environmental Agreement is a legal contract signed by Diavik, the federal, territorial and aboriginal governments that outlines respect for air, land, water, fish and sacred and cultural locations and objects. The EMAB is at arms length and independent from the signing parties.
