The Text Me Healthy research project is officially done. The Action Group Board is very grateful for the many generous people who have touched this project from start to finish and are proud of this new tool to support NWT people who are finished their cancer treatments.

We have just returned from the CAPO/ ACOP conference where Dr. Anna Singleton University of Sydney and two of our board members, Rosemary Youngblut and Rosanna Strong presented the results of this successful project.

Next steps for Text Me Healthy are: research journal publications, updating the texts based on research participant comments, continued search for funding to translate the messages into NWT official languages and releasing the program for use in the NWT in coming months.

The link is to the recent project presentation we did in Yellowknife when Dr. Singleton visited us.

Mission accomplished! The Action Group and our esteemed research colleague, Dr. Anna Singleton have presented the research results from the Text Me Healthy project at the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncologists in St. John's NL.

So great to finally present results of this wonderful project. It takes a village to have made it possible... Jill Christensen (Project Coorfinator), amazing members of the Project Advisory Committee and Focus Groups, our funders ( Hotıì ts'eeda, Indigenous & Global Health Research Group/University of Alberta and United Way NWT) and the generous team at the Daffodil Centre/University of Sydney.

Stand by for our presentation from Anna's visit to Yellowknife and for our launch of the Text Me Healthy program.

It seems fitting to make a pilgrimage to the Terry Fox monunent on St. John's wharf before presenting our research on the Text Me Healthy project at the Canadian Association of Psychsocial Oncologists conference.

We draw strength from his drive to help others and it bolsters our resolve, as an organization, to continue our work supporting people in the NWT experiencing a cancer diagnosis.

He is a reminder that cancer is not who you are, you are a person first accomplishing big and small things daily despite having a cancer diagnosis.
