A huge THANK YOU to all of the incredible sponsors who supported the 5th Annual Roger Walker Memorial Golf Tournament!

Together, we raised over $20,000 for KidSport NWT, helping remove financial barriers and giving more children across the Northwest Territories the opportunity to participate in organized sport.

Today, we're proud to launch the NWT Sport Travel Fare Program!

Created through a partnership between Sport North Federation, Indigenous Sports Circle NWT, and Air North, Yukon's Airline, the program is designed to help reduce travel costs for athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and sport organizations across the Northwest Territories.

By improving access to more affordable travel, the program will help make competitions, training camps, leadership development opportunities, and other sport experiences more accessible for northern participants.

Coming This Fall, Sport North and Physical Literacy Northwest Territories are proud to launch the new Professional Development Inspiration Series for coaches across the Northwest Territories. Built on a simple idea: NWT coaches learning from NWT coaches.

Every coach has a story. Every community has experiences worth sharing. Through this monthly virtual series, coaches from across the territory will come together to exchange ideas, celebrate successes, learn from challenges, and inspire one another.

Whether you’re a new coach or have years of experience, these informal lunch-hour sessions are an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow together. Real stories. Practical ideas. We are together. FORGED BY SPORT.

Everyone has a Team NT story. What's yours?

Maybe you represented the NWT at a Games. Maybe you coached, volunteered, supported a family member, or followed Team NT from home. No matter your connection, your experience can help improve future participation in the Arctic Winter Games, Canada Games, North American Indigenous Games, and Canada 55+ Games.

Your feedback will help identify ways to strengthen support for athletes and communities across the territory.

Plus, survey participants can optionally enter to win Team NT merchandise.

Calling All NWT Coaches, Officials & Sport Leaders!!! Sport North and Physical Literacy NWT are launching a new Territorial Coach Professional Development Inspiration Series this fall, and we’d love to hear your story!

The idea is simple: NWT coaches learning from NWT coaches.

We’re looking for presenters who are willing to share their passion, experiences, lessons learned, successes, challenges, and favourite moments from coaching in the North. The sessions will be held virtually over lunch and provide NCCP Professional Development (PD) points for participating coaches.
