The Mud Run might be over, but Run for Our Lives isn’t going anywhere. 💜

This is only one of the ways our community comes together each year to support cancer care in the North.

There will be more opportunities to get involved and more events ahead.
If there’s something you would like to see next, let us know, we’re always looking for new ideas.

What an incredible surprise — and such a tremendous honour! 💛

The Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation has been nominated for Non-Profit of the Year, alongside an outstanding group of organizations doing meaningful work throughout our communities.

This nomination belongs to so many: our donors, sponsors, volunteers, Board members, event committees, healthcare partners and everyone who has supported the Foundation over the years. Your generosity allows us to continue supporting priority medical equipment and patient-care initiatives for residents from Yellowknife and across the Northwest Territories and the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut.

Well… here we are. 😄

Tomorrow is Mud Run day.

After all the planning and all the fundraising it is finally time to meet at the Yellowknife Ski Club and make a mess of ourselves for a really good reason.

Some important reminders:

- Get some sleep.
- Drink some water.
- Please CARPOOL We have over 400 people registered and limited parking, come with friends or other families.

There will be complimentary Tim Hortons coffee, hot chocolate, water and a BBQ sponsored by Yellowknife Motors.

Then get ready for a day with a whole lot of community behind it.
The 2026 CIBC Mud Run happens tomorrow, Saturday, September 12.

Tomorrow is when Mud Run weekend really begins. 🙌

Before anyone hits the course on Saturday there is a lot that needs to happen on Friday, September 11.

Setup is a huge job and we would really appreciate some extra hands.

We also still need volunteers for Saturday, September 12. Mainly Course Marshals and help with clean up and take down. Both days matter. The event simply does not happen without people willing to pitch in.

Okay, Yellowknife—we are officially down to 3 DAYS! 🔥

Today was supposed to be the final day to register for the 2026 CIBC Mud Run…but we’ve decided to keep registration open right through to Saturday! 🙌

Here’s the important part:

⏰ Register by 8:00 p.m. tonight to take advantage of the current registration rate.

After 8:00 p.m., the late-registration rate will be $150 for Adults and Child/Youth tickets, and will include an event T-shirt.

So, if you’ve been waiting until the very last minute—congratulations, you’ve almost officially made it! 😂 You don’t need months of training behind you. You just need to show up, be ready to get muddy and have some fun for a cause that means so much to our community. 💜

The mud is fun. The obstacles make for some great stories. But there is a much bigger reason we do this every year. 💜

For some people it is someone they have lost.

For others it is a friend or family member who is fighting right now.

And for all of us it is a chance to help support cancer care right here in the North.
The 2026 CIBC Mud Run is this Saturday at the Yellowknife Ski Club. If you have been thinking about joining us there is still time.

One week to go. 💜

At this point, Mud Run day isn’t some faraway event on the calendar anymore, it’s NEXT WEEK!

If you’re still on the fence, there’s still time to get involved in the 2026 CIBC Mud Run, happening Saturday, September 12 at the Yellowknife Ski Club

This is not about being the fastest. It is not about being perfectly prepared. It’s about fundraising, running in support of our loved ones, friends, colleagues, who we’ve lost too soon or are fighting the fight right now, and for cancer care right here in the north. Now’s the time to be a part of something that brings our community together.

So check the group chat. Text the friend who keeps saying they might do it and a very important one, pick a pair of shoes you are willing to sacrifice, the mud isn’t kind to them. 🤣

So this is it, one week left. Let’s make it count.
