The MRA works with communities in the Mackenzie Region to foster and support the development of recreation, volunteers, and leadership.

Goals:
1: Build capacity in the recreation sector within the MRA region
2: Improve the sustainability of the MRA
3: Increase participation of residents in the MRA region in sport and recreation
4: Increase awareness of physical literacy through MRA sponsored events

Registration is Open for the Mackenzie Youth Summer Games!

The Mackenzie Youth Summer Games (MYSG) is an exciting sleepover camp where youth can build their confidence, develop new skills, and make lasting friendships in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Participants will enjoy:

🤸 Fundamental movement skill development
🎨 Arts and cultural programming
🤝 Team-building, leadership, and plenty of fun!

Are you passionate about recreation, wellness, and supporting communities across the Mackenzie region? We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join the MRA Board of Directors.

We have several Board positions available, including an additional Akaitcho Director position that has recently become open.

Serving on the Board is a great opportunity to:
✅ Help shape the future of recreation and wellness initiatives
✅ Represent your community and region
✅ Build leadership and governance experience
✅ Network with recreation professionals and community leaders

Board elections will take place at the MRA Annual General Meeting on June 17, 2026.
