Local Government Administrators NWT A non-profit that provides support and development opportunities to SAO's and Band Managers in the NT

LGANT provides a network for members to actively share information, ideas and expertise regarding the economical and efficient administration of community governments in the Northwest Territories;
ensures that relevant, high quality educational and training programs are available to all members, provides advice to Community Councils, the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs and other Territorial Departments and to the Northwest Territories Association of Municipalities, encourages adherence to ethical and professional standards of performance for all members, and raises awareness of local government administration as a career choice.

NWT artists: show us the North through your eyes.

ECC is looking for original artwork that captures the essence of wildlife, fish, and harvesting traditions of the Northwest Territories.

Weโ€™re commissioning artwork representing all five NWT regions for future editions of the NWT hunting and trapping and sport fishing regulations guides.

Artists can propose the region and wildlife or fish species they would like to feature.

While intake for these programs closes October 31, applications remain open year-round for:

Housing NWT program staff will be available in Fort Liard from October 1 to 2, 2026, to provide program delivery services to residents.

There are three weeks left to apply for the 2026โ€“2027 High Performance Athlete Grant.

If you are an eligible high-performance athlete from the NWT, now is the time to complete your application and gather your required documents.

Gender equality includes creating communities where people of all gender identities feel welcomed, respected, and able to participate fully.

Through a Gender Equity Grant, Folk on the Rocks is delivering the Performing Arts and Q***r Justice Youth Camp, providing an entry-level space for q***r youth to explore writing and music in a supportive environment. The program helps participants build confidence, develop skills, and create connections with peers and mentors.

When people feel they belong, they are better positioned to contribute their talents, pursue new opportunities, and participate fully in community life.
