Two weeks until Yellowknife gets muddy. 💜

The 2026 CIBC Mud Run is happening Saturday, September 12 at the Yellowknife Ski Club, and things are finally starting to feel real.

Teams are signing up. Participants are getting ready. The leaderboard is moving. And yes, it is time to start thinking about your outfit, your shoes, your team name, and how much mud you are emotionally prepared for.

There are also prizes this year, including fundraising incentives, top fundraiser prizes, team prizes, and a Best Dressed Team prize.

So if you needed a sign, this is it.

Good Saturday morning, Yellowknife! ☀️

The Run for Our Lives Committee is excited—the CIBC Mud Run is just two weeks away!

If you’re heading to the Yellowknife Ski Club this morning for a walk, bike ride or dog walk, please keep an eye out for our hardworking RFOL Committee as they prepare the trails.

There will be a quad or two hauling even MORE dirt 😉 to make your Mud Run experience extra muddy!

The crew expects to be finished by 1:00 p.m. today at the latest.

Please use caution around the work area and equipment so everyone stays safe.

Already registered for Saturday, September 12th? If not, don’t miss the Early Registration deadline this Monday, August 31st!

Registration will remain open until September 9th, but the price goes up after Monday. 😁

Early registration for the 2026 CIBC Mud Run ends August 31, which means now is the time to stop saying “we should sign up” and actually sign up.

Grab your team, pick the name, and get ready for mud, laughs, obstacles, questionable shoe choices, and a really good cause.

The earlier you register, the more time you have to fundraise, and yes, there are prizes to earn along the way. Mud Run T-shirts, Yeti prizes, gift cards, team prizes, and more are all part of it this year. 💜

Last year, this community raised $133,000 through the CIBC Mud Run. 💜

That is what happens when people show up.

Teams register.
Volunteers give their time.
Sponsors step in.
Families cheer.
Participants fundraise.
And the whole community gets behind a cause that matters.

This year, funds raised will once again support cancer related equipment and patient initiatives for Stanton Territorial Hospital, helping support care for patients and families from across the North.

So the question is:

Can we do it again?

Will we see more Mud Runners than last year? Let’s hope so!

The 2026 CIBC Mud Run is getting closer, and more participants are starting to sign up.

Every year, this event brings out runners, walkers, crawlers, volunteers, families, teams, coworkers, cheer squads, and people who mostly just want an excuse to get covered in mud for a good cause.

So now we want to know:
