Every day brings opportunities to speak up. 📣

Maybe it's sharing an idea at work, introducing yourself to someone new, speaking at a community event, or having a conversation you've been putting off.
Communication and confidence aren't talents that some people are born with. They are skills that can be developed with practice. That's what Toastmasters is all about.

Quick way to remember it: Affect is the action. Effect is the outcome.

Fewer
👉 Used for things you can count

Less stress makes speaking easier.

Quick tip:
If you can count it, use fewer.
If you cannot count it, use less.

She implied the speech needed more structure.

👉 To draw a conclusion from what is said
He inferred that more practice was needed.

Quick tip: The speaker implies. The listener infers.

The Easter chocolate is mostly gone… now what? 🍫

How about feeding your confidence instead?

Toastmasters is a place where you can try something new, laugh through the nerves, and get more comfortable speaking in front of others. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about getting a little better each time you show up.

Guests don’t have to speak (unless they want to). You can just come, watch, and see what it’s all about.
