On July 5, work was completed on the South Ohio to Brazil Lake stretch fixing pot holes, spreading gravel and grading. The trail bed was also raised to the height of the pavement for easier transitions between the two surfaces. The funding for this section came from the Trans Canda Trail Catalyst Fund, Municipality of Yarmouth, Off Highway Vehicle and Community Culture Tourism and Heritage.

Through a partnership with the Municipality of Argyle and funding from Community, Culture, Tourism and Heritage, the Yarmouth County Trails Development Association can now access two different attachments for the trail tractor. The flail mower and sickle bar mower will be invaluable for managing vegetation. Here are two videos to show people how is it working.

Wine Brook bridge was repaired by a group of 7 volunteers.
Big thank you to Darryl, Ray, Warren, Gilles, Robert, Norbert and Jamie. Look at the work they accomplished in the heat.

The trail is now open between Victoria Rd and Pubnico Head.

Looking for volunteers for Saturday July 4th to help with bridge repairs. Location, traveling from Argyle 3km before you get to Pubnico Head parking lot.
Time 9:00 bring hammer ,prybars. Message Darryl Crosby for more info.
The trail will be closed from Victoria rd to Pubnico Head for the work to be done.

Our Annual meeting will be held on our regular July meeting night July 20, 2026 at 7:00pm at the Lakes and District Fire Hall on the Lake George Road.
We are looking for new members to be part of the executive team. If you would like to have an active role in planning maintenance, please join us at this meeting.

On International Trails Day 5 volunteers came out to spread gravel and whipper snip. 6 loads of gravel was spread by two tractors. Thank you to everyone who came out.
