Yarmouth and Area Chamber of Commerce We proudly support local businesses in Yarmouth and surrounding areas by fostering connections, growth, and success. Follow us to stay updated!

Through networking, advocacy, and resources, we help businesses thrive and build a strong community. The Chamber of Commerce is one of the few groups which is organized to influence public policy. Through applications with the Nova Scotia Chamber of Commerce, The Atlantic Provinces Chamber of Commerce and local merchants and associations, the Chamber is able to act as an influential vehicle to ini

tiate or change policies. Individual businesses, as members may use this lobbying power to address their individual and collective concerns with respect to the community as a whole.

MYTH: “It’s the same thing every year.”

TRUTH: The modern Chamber evolves with business.

If your idea of a Chamber of Commerce is networking over coffee and collecting business cards, it’s time for an update.

Today’s business challenges look very different than they did 10, 20, or 30 years ago. That’s why today’s Chamber is focused on helping businesses navigate real-world issues like workforce shortages, AI adoption, economic uncertainty, professional development, and business growth.

Over the past year alone, our members have had access to AI training, newcomer workforce initiatives, leadership development programs, industry roundtables, advocacy efforts, and connections that help solve real business problems.

The business landscape is changing. So are we.

This isn’t your grandfather’s Chamber.

What would help your business most right now: finding talent, increasing sales, leveraging AI, or building stronger connections?

Today marked an exciting milestone for economic growth in Southwest Nova Scotia with the official ribbon cutting of the Phase II expansion of the Nova West Regional Business Park in Yarmouth — complete with a special appearance by the Town Crier.

Even more impressive? Phase II (all 7 lots) has already been fully committed by businesses, highlighting the growing confidence companies have in Yarmouth and our region as a place to invest, expand, and build for the future.

This expansion represents more than just new lots and infrastructure — it represents momentum. From local entrepreneurship to regional economic development, the continued growth of the business park sends a strong message that Yarmouth is open for business and continuing to move forward.

Congratulations to everyone for turning this project into a reality!
