June is Men’s Health Month, with a specific focus on destigmatizing and prioritizing men’s mental wellness. It is dedicated to breaking the "silent crisis" of men suffering in silence, as men are nearly four times more likely to die by su***de than women. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.unifor.org/resources/our-resources/mental-health-matters&ved=2ahUKEwi_4MjMjv-UAxVIHTQIHa4HNREQmL8OegoIAggACAAIIRAC&opi=89978449&cd&psig=AOvVaw0gX-S03s5EhAYrCmD0_GcR&ust=1781264795930000
Breaking the Stigma: Unifor highlights that unaddressed mental health struggles hurt families and communities. Campaigns encourage members to "end the stigma," talk openly, and ask for help early
Union Support Systems: Union Employee and Family Assistance (EFAP) representatives work directly at the bargaining table and in workplaces to ensure members get the help they need for depression, addiction, and stress

High Stress: According to the
Canadian Men's Health Foundation, nearly 89% of young men (ages 19–29) report moderate-to-high stress levels
The Barrier: Societal norms often socialize men to suppress emotions, making them less likely to reach out for help
