What an amazing day at the REALTORS Care Food Drive! 💚

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this event such a success. We are so grateful for the support from the community!

Special shoutout to the players on the Woodstock FC 2012G ⚽, two awesome little brothers, two amazing big brothers, one high school student getting those 40 volunteer hours in, and all of the parents who came out to support. The kids absolutely crushed it carrying donations, sorting items, and packing boxes, while the parents and a couple of our Board members jumped in to help with sorting and packing alongside them.

A big thank you as well to all of the volunteers who came in afterward and helped us finish everything up.

Thank you to Produce Express for the boxes to keep all the food sorted and stored!

And of course, thank you to Boston Pizza for the generous donation that kept everyone fueled throughout the evening!

We appreciate every single donation, every helping hand, and every person who took the time to support Operation Sharing. Days like this remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a caring community ❤️

Thank you all, we couldn’t do it without you!

Congratulations, Kelly, on your retirement!

Thank you for everything you’ve done for the Oxford County community through your work with United Way Oxford. Your impact has truly made a difference in so many lives.

Wishing you all the best in this next chapter, enjoy every moment, you’ve earned it!

From all of us at Operation Sharing.

After more than twenty years of dedicated leadership, we are sharing the news that our Executive Director, Kelly Gilson, will retire at the end of September 2026.

Since joining United Way Oxford in 2003, Kelly has been an inspirational leader, a tireless champion for those who are marginalized, a strong community ambassador, and deeply committed to building community awareness on social challenges and advocating for systems change. Under her leadership, United Way Oxford has raised over $28,500,000 in revenues to benefit citizens across our community.

Kelly’s passion and creativity have brought many new opportunities to our United Way, which have become cornerstones of our work. She launched the Student Stairclimb in 2004, Day of Caring in 2006, 211 in 2010, Oxford’s Supplies4Students in 2016, and Tampon Tuesday in 2018. Not to mention a variety of more recent endeavors, including the purchase and opening of the Tillsonburg and Ingersoll Light Houses.

Please join us in congratulating Kelly on her incredible contributions to our community!

We hit a bit of a snag with our last post about our new branding and logo, but we’ve found a better way to make the survey accessible for everyone.

But it also got us thinking…

Operation Sharing is often seen as one thing, but we are so much more.

Yes, we support individuals experiencing homelessness.
But we also answer the phone every day for people who don’t know where to turn.

A parent who can’t pay a bill.
Someone overwhelmed trying to fill out forms.
A person just looking for the right place to start.

We may not always be the final solution, but we are often the first call. And we make sure no one is left without direction.

We are a place of connection, guidance, and support for all of Oxford County.

Now we want to make sure our new branding and logo reflects that.

Take our branding survey and let us know what you think!

At Operation Sharing, our work goes beyond one type of support.

While we do assist individuals experiencing homelessness, we also provide a wide range of services for individuals and families throughout our community.

From groceries and clothing to guidance and connections we work closely with community partners to help people access the supports they need when they need them.

Everyone’s situation is different, and we’re here to meet people where they are
