📍 New Rotary Bench Installed at Woodstock High School!

Today, we took advantage of a break in the rain to install our newest Rotary bench at Woodstock High School.

This bench recognizes the outstanding contributions of the Woodstock High School Interact Club, a dedicated group of student leaders whose volunteer efforts make a real difference both within their school and throughout our community.

Interact members regularly give their time, energy, and creativity to support local projects, community events, and service initiatives. Their commitment to helping others embodies the spirit of “Service Above Self” and demonstrates that leadership has no age limit.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making this project happen. We hope this bench serves as a lasting reminder of the positive impact these students have on our community.

🎨🪓 Rotary & Interact Social at Timber & Clay 🪓🎨

What a fantastic afternoon of fellowship, creativity, and friendly competition!

Members of the Woodstock Rotary Club and the Woodstock High School Interact Club gathered at Timber & Clay for our annual social event. This year, we traded bowling shoes for paint brushes and axe throwing lanes, and everyone had the opportunity to choose between clay painting or testing their axe throwing skills.

With 23 participants, including Rotarians and Interactors, the event was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the connection between our clubs, share experiences, and simply enjoy spending time together outside of our regular meetings and service projects.

A big thank you to the team at Timber & Clay for hosting us and providing such a fun and welcoming environment. It was great to see so many students and Rotarians laughing, creating, competing, and building friendships.

The future of Rotary is bright when we see the enthusiasm, leadership, and community spirit demonstrated by our Interact members.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the afternoon a success!

📣 Rotary Club of Woodstock Supports Carleton Ground Search & Rescue

The Rotary Club of Woodstock is proud to present a cheque for $4,488.25 to Carleton Ground Search and Rescue.

These funds will help support their Junior Explorer Day Camp, providing valuable outdoor education and emergency preparedness opportunities for local youth. The donation will also assist with the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for use at the many public events and community activities their volunteers attend throughout the year.

Carleton Ground Search & Rescue plays an important role in our region, not only during search and rescue operations but also through community education, public safety initiatives, and volunteer service.

Thank you to all Rotary members, supporters, and community partners who help make contributions like this possible. Together, we continue to invest in projects that strengthen and support our community.

🐾 Giving Back to Our Community 🐾

The Rotary Club of Woodstock was proud to present a cheque for $4,680 to the Carleton County Animal Shelter.

Joanne Reid from CCAS shared how this contribution will support the replacement of their 30-year-old ventilation system. This upgrade will significantly improve air quality for both the animals and the volunteers, help reduce odors in the building, and lower the risk of airborne bacteria transmission.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support such important work in our community and help create a healthier environment for the animals in their care. 🐶🐱
