🏒🔥 What a weekend at the **All Nations Tribal Days Hockey Tournament**! 🔥🏒

So much pride for our **Winnipegosis Tigers players** who stepped up, represented other teams, and left it all on the ice 💪

🥈 **Nahum & Nataya** played with the U9 Layne Stars and earned a strong **silver medal finish**, showing teamwork, grit, and skill all weekend long 💫

🥇 **CJ** hit the ice with U9 Minegoziibe and brought home **GOLD**, finishing **1st in their division**! What a dominant showing 👏

🥈 **Tori & Willow** laced up for U11 Skownan and battled their way to a **silver medal finish**. The championship game came down to the wire, with the winning goal scored in the **final 5 seconds**… a true heartbreaker, but an incredible performance from both players!

From buzzer-beaters to championship wins, these athletes showed what it means to compete with heart ❤️🏒

🏒🔥 What a weekend at the MICEC Indigenous Minor Hockey Tournament in Winnipeg! 🔥🏒

A huge congratulations to our Winnipegosis teams who showed heart, hustle, and incredible teamwork all weekend long!

🥉 **U9 Tigers** battled hard and finished as **2nd runner-up** with an impressive record of **5 wins and 2 losses**. What a strong showing from this young group!

🥇 **U11 Warrior Tigers** absolutely dominated the ice, going **undefeated with 4 wins and 0 losses**, bringing home **1st place**! A championship performance from start to finish!

We are so proud of all our players for representing with determination, sportsmanship, and pride. You made your communities proud! 💙

A big thank you goes out to our dedicated coaches and volunteers — **Clayton, Harley, Trevor, Eugene, and Josh** — for your time, leadership, and commitment to the teams.

We were proud to welcome our import players into the Winnipegosis hockey family this weekend—your energy, teamwork, and spirit made a lasting impact! 🏒💙

Congratulations to four of our Tiger Warrior players who captured the GOLD medal at U11 Rural B Female Provincials this past weekend with their Roblin Gems female team The hours of extra work you put in with this group really showed, and we are so very proud of you and your teammates for becoming Provincial Champs!! Way to go!! 👏💎

Winnipegosis Minor Hockey 2025/26 Wind up!

The season in review…

🐯 Our mighty U7 crew worked hard all year long! This year we hosted a handful of home games and travelled to Ste. Rose and Pine Creek for games! Thank you to coach Kendall, Coach Brad, Coach Trevor and manager Michelle!
🐯 U9 Tigers had a great season. We finished 6th in the league, a vast improvement from last year, and these kids did the work to get there! There were no days off, they put the time in, every kid showed up and worked hard for their coaches and teammates!! We hosted the U9 playoff bracket with 5th-10th ranked teams and had a blast showcasing our arena and playing some great hockey!! Thank you Coach Terry, Coach Ryan and Coach Brad!
🐯 U11 Warrior Tigers…what a season! After being denied entry into the league, we felt discouraged and wondered how this season would look. In the end, it came down to the athletes, and what kind of experience we could provide for the kids. Joining forces with Minegoziibe and combining our communities was the greatest solution, and was a huge WIN on so many levels! Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this collaboration such a success!! We hosted some games, hosted Provincial Playdowns, travelled to 7 tournaments and brought home an A side Championship banner! If anyone saw photos, we also had the most epic mash up jerseys thanks to Harley, the kids wore them with pride!! Thank you Coach Trevor, Coach Terry and Coach Tammy!

A huge thank you to our board, all who played roles much larger than their title. Each one of them had a hand in every single detail of our season!

Thank you parents for your commitment to hockey, we all know it’s a big one, but so worth it when you see the growth of your child both on and off the ice!!!

Thank you coaches….you volunteer your time, you put your passion for the game into the children of our community, you take time away from your own family/work for the sake of others….it is not a role that should be taken lightly, and the words Thank You barely cut it! But, thank you!

Thank you to Paul, Brennan and all the referees who came out for our games and tournaments! To Lincoln and Marshall for helping score keep at both tournaments! Thank you to the arena board and our community for supporting our teams!!

Last but not least, our Athletes!!! Thank you for loving this sport, for coming to practice willing to learn, and to work hard! It is a privilege to work with you, build relationships with you and watch you grow into wonderful kids!!
