The 3rd Winnipeg 🐿 Chipmunks and 🦫 Beavers had a wonderful time at today's Fall Beaveree at Camp Amisk!

They designed t-shirts, went through campsites and learned what should be there or not, learned knots and made zipper pulls, learned to Hug-a-Tree from Search & Rescue MB, went on a hike and learned about Mb trees, played games, learned about radio communication, and ended with a fantastic campfire full of songs our kids sang the whole way home!

Thank you to all of the Scouters and Offer of Service personnel who put so much into this to make it a success!

Congratulations, Scouter Ryan! 🎉

Last night at Beavers, we finally got to celebrate a milestone that has been a long time coming — Scouter Ryan received his Wood Badge woggle! 🪢🏕️

Ryan completed his Wood Badge I training last year, earning this special recognition for completing the foundational leadership training for Scouts Canada Scouters. Wood Badge I helps Scouters build the knowledge and skills needed to deliver great programs, support youth, manage risk, and lead meaningful Scouting adventures.

Although he earned it last year, we hadn’t had the opportunity to formally present his woggle until now — so it was extra special to finally recognize his achievement with our Beaver Colony!

Congratulations, Ryan! Thank you for the time, energy and heart you bring to Scouting. We’re so glad to have you as part of the 3rd Winnipeg team! 🧡💙

**🇨🇦🦬 From Winnipeg to Iceland! 🇮🇸**

Our 3rd Winnipeg Scouts and Venturers are making memories that will last a lifetime at the **2026 Icelandic Scout Jamboree**! 🌍⚜️

One of their adventures brought them to visit **Wilmington the Bison**—a fun reminder of home while exploring the incredible landscapes of Iceland. It may not be Manitoba's prairie bison, but it's still a pretty amazing stop for our Canadian contingent!

Every day is filled with new friendships, new experiences, and the kind of adventures that only Scouting can provide. We couldn't be more proud of these youth for representing 3rd Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Canada on the world stage. ❤️🍁

From standing in awe inside the breathtaking **Hallgrímskirkja Church** to taking in one of Iceland's most recognizable landmarks, every stop is a reminder that Scouting opens the door to incredible adventures, new cultures, and lifelong friendships.

No matter how far from home we roam, our 3rd Winnipeg necker is always a symbol of where we come from and the amazing community that supports these youth.

We can't wait to see where the adventure takes our little bison next! 🧡💙

Winnipeg Goldeyes Game and Sleepover

Join Youth and Scouters from across the province for a great game and then an optional sleepover on the field.

After the game, all youth, parents and Scouters staying the night can exit the ballpark through regular gates, move their cars to the designated overnight lot and re-enter with all gear into the Picnic Park Gate that leads straight into the right field.

Post game snacks and breakfast are not provided, you are welcome to bring your own. Concessions will not be open.
All camping equipment needed is to be brought by those staying overnight.
Security will be on scene and washrooms will be open all night.
Tents will not be allowed to use tent pegs – plan accordingly.

Today, we celebrate the women who guide, support, encourage, and love — in all the many ways motherhood exists. 💐

To the moms, stepmoms, foster moms, grandmas, aunties, guardians, chosen family, leaders, mentors, and the women who show up with kindness, patience, and strength every single day — thank you. 🤎💙

Scouting is built on community, and our group is stronger because of the incredible women who volunteer, cheer from the sidelines, organize behind the scenes, drive to camps, sew badges, pack snacks, wipe tears, celebrate achievements, and help our youth grow into confident, capable people.

We also hold space today for those who find Mother’s Day difficult — those missing someone, longing to become a mother, grieving, healing, or carrying quiet stories in their hearts.

From all of us at 3rd Winnipeg, Happy Mother’s Day to every woman making a difference in the lives of others. Your impact matters more than words can say. 🌷✨

We’re getting ready for an awesome activity at Camp Zagime 2026 and we need your help collecting plastic soft drink bottles! 🏕️♻️

You can bring them to any meeting between now and June 11th.

Every bottle helps make this activity possible, and we appreciate all the support from our amazing scouting families! 💙🧡

🌲 2026 Tree Planting – Part 2 🌲

What an incredible day it turned out to be! 💚

The **3rd Winnipeg Scouting Group** was proud to be part of an amazing event that brought together over **250 participants** from groups all across East Manitoba — and together, we planted an incredible **11,500 trees!** 🌱🌲

Thanks to the support of our community, **for every $2 raised, our group was able to plant one tree**, helping make a real impact for future generations. Even better, the funds raised will also help support our Scouts heading to their **Spring and Summer camps** this year! 🏕️🔥

We are so proud of all of our youth and families who came out, worked hard, and represented our group so well. From hard work to smiling faces, it was a day full of teamwork, service, and unforgettable memories.

Thank you to everyone who supported, donated, and planted alongside us! 🌎✨
