A ministry of City Church, Naomi House seeks to walk with refugees as they rebuild their lives in Canada, through Christ-centered love and action.

Naomi House is a Ministry of City Church. As of December of 2015 the building is undergoing renovations, with a the desire to open in the spring of 2016. Naomi House will be a seven bedroom transitional home for newly arriving refugees and refugee claimants (asylum seekers) in Winnipeg. Also housed in the facility will be City Connexions (CCx) and the offices of City Church. CCx is a ministry that helps new comers to Winnipeg transition into life in Canada. In the past CCx has helped hundreds of newcomers, who have basic English skills, find employment. CCx has also helped with homework clubs, seminars and EAL (English as and Additional Language) programs.

Shared Stories, Shared Blessings: Faith (Part 1)

Recently, Naomi House put together some videos to tell the stories of a few of our newcomer families. This is the first clip from a video that highlights the faith journey of some of our former refugees.

✨A glimpse into Explore the Refugee Highway 2026!!
👏🏼A big thank you to those who volunteered, attended, and spread the word about this fun event, held on August 31.

🌤️We were encouraged by how it went, saw God's hand in the details, and enjoyed many great conversations out in the Teddy Bass field at Kildonan Park! Our amazing volunteers were the MVP's of the day.

🧐Did you know that 1 in every 67 people is forcibly displaced from their home❓ If Canada represented the world, nearly 600,000 Canadians would be forcibly displaced.

"But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish."
