CancerCare Manitoba Foundation All funds raised stay in Manitoba. The CancerCare Manitoba Foundation is the only organization exclusively fundraising for CancerCare Manitoba.

CancerCare Manitoba’s main aim is to eradicate a disease consisting of more than 150 types and stages. A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. Up-to-date information regarding treatment options, resources and services are vital as patients and families make their way through the cancer journey, from diagnosis to treatment. While CancerCare Manitoba works in partnership with Manitoba Health, some p

rograms and services are not eligible for government funding. Since 2000, donors from every walk of life have given more than $85 million to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation to bridge this gap and help deliver the best research, patient care, treatment and support. We are proud to support CancerCare Manitoba’s internationally-recognized team of health professionals as they provide outstanding quality care for all Manitobans and their families living with cancer.

At 47, Fiona's life changed with four words: "You have breast cancer."

Diagnosed with ER/PR-positive invasive ductal carcinoma in January 2023, Fiona faced a double mastectomy with immediate DIEP flap reconstruction, multiple rounds of chemotherapy and, after learning she carries the BRCA1 genetic mutation, an oophorectomy.

Through some of her darkest days, Fiona found strength in the people who stood beside her: her friends, her family and especially her husband, Jason. ❤️

Today, Fiona knows life may never look exactly as it did before cancer. She has learned to embrace her new normal and is determined to live each day as fully as she can.

This year, Fiona will take the stage as a special guest model at the 35th anniversary Guardian Angel Benefit, a celebration of the strength, courage and community behind women facing cancer in Manitoba.

For 35 years, Guardian Angel has brought people together to help transform cancer care for women like Fiona. Funds raised support leading-edge research and enhanced care, helping create more precious tomorrows for patients and their families.

When Sylvia was diagnosed with breast cancer on January 3, 2020, she had no idea the world was about to shut down.

Undergoing surgery and treatment during the pandemic was isolating, but with the support of her children, her chosen family and the many “low-flying angels” in her life, Sylvia came through the experience in excellent health and remains so today.

As a professional speaker, Sylvia began sharing daily messages of encouragement online, offering hope to others while helping herself heal. In 2022, those messages became a published book, transforming one of the most difficult chapters of her life into a source of inspiration for others.

On Sunday, October 4, Sylvia will take the stage as a guest model at the 35th annual Guardian Angel Benefit for Women’s Cancer.

Year after year, their generous sponsorship helps make our Lemonade Stands for Hope kits available free of charge to Manitobans who want to turn a simple lemonade stand into something much bigger.

And they don’t stop there! Winnipeg Kinsmen proudly joined the movement by hosting a stand of their own, raising more than $1,300 this summer.

Throwing it back to an incredible day at Ride Inside 2025! 🚲💛

Last November, teams came together, hopped on stationary bikes, and raised $278,000 to support research, clinical trials, treatments and programs for children, adolescents and young adults impacted by cancer in Manitoba.

Join us for the 35th annual Guardian Angel Benefit on Sunday, October 4, and help support advancements in cancer research and care for women facing cancer right here in Manitoba.

Experience the much-loved Fashion Show, along with performances by the Sarah Daurie Dance Company, crooner George Druxman and a ca****la group Those Guys.

This year, we’ll also look back at 35 years of Guardian Angel and celebrate the people, generosity and shared commitment that have helped move its mission forward.
