CancerCare Manitoba Foundation All funds raised stay in Manitoba. The CancerCare Manitoba Foundation is the only organization exclusively fundraising for CancerCare Manitoba.

CancerCare Manitoba’s main aim is to eradicate a disease consisting of more than 150 types and stages. A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. Up-to-date information regarding treatment options, resources and services are vital as patients and families make their way through the cancer journey, from diagnosis to treatment. While CancerCare Manitoba works in partnership with Manitoba Health, some p

rograms and services are not eligible for government funding. Since 2000, donors from every walk of life have given more than $85 million to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation to bridge this gap and help deliver the best research, patient care, treatment and support. We are proud to support CancerCare Manitoba’s internationally-recognized team of health professionals as they provide outstanding quality care for all Manitobans and their families living with cancer.

Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for a high of 17°C with a chance of showers, so come prepared for the weather and don’t forget your sunscreen! Even on cloudy days, UV rays can still be strong.

👢 Rubber Boot Service
Walking to the park in rubber boots? No problem! Bring a change of shoes, and we’ll keep your boots safe while you participate.

🚲 Bicycle Valet
Cycling to the event? Enjoy complimentary Bicycle Valet service near the Pavilion parking lot from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

🚗 Sweep Vehicles
Need a lift during your walk? Sweep vehicles will be circulating along both the 20K and 5K routes and can take participants to the next check stop or the finish line if needed.

🚨 Emergency Support
If you need assistance during the event, speak with a volunteer at any check stop or call our emergency line at 204-330-6556. You’ll also find the number printed on the back of your bib.

Sixteen years. One team. One powerful commitment.

This year, Fillmore Riley celebrates 16 years of participation in Challenge for Life, and we're proud to recognize their incredible impact.

Their team, Motion to Strike Cancer, has members registered and ready to take on this year's Challenge. Together, Fillmore Riley’s corporate sponsorship and the participants’ fundraising have already raised $861,427, for Challenge for Life in support of Manitobans facing cancer.

They have shown what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose: supporting cancer research, patient care and support programs that make a difference right here in Manitoba.

Every shirt represents someone who stepped up to fundraise, challenge themselves and support Manitobans facing cancer.

Within four years of his first diagnosis, Steve faced two recurrences of cancer. Thankfully, the support of donors meant that new and innovative treatments were available right here in Manitoba.

In June of 2022, a turning point came for Steve. He was accepted into a clinical trial offering a new and innovative treatment for multiple myeloma available in Manitoba and within just two months, there were signs the treatment was working.

The treatment Steve received from the clinical trial continues to have an impact today. Thanks to donor investment in cancer research, the treatment is now approved for other Manitobans with multiple myeloma—helping ensure that when cancer touches you or someone you know, there are more options close to home.

Only 10 days until !

If you've walked the 20k route before, chances are you've experienced the incredible energy waiting for you at the halfway checkpoint.
That encouragement is made possible by Canada Life Co employees and volunteers.

For 19 years, Canada Life has supported Challenge for Life not only as a sponsor, but as an active part of the event itself. Every year, the Canada Life Heroic Feet team walks or does the workout while more than 50 volunteers fill the halfway mark along the 20k route with cheers, encouragement and high-fives to help participants keep going.

Their support helps make Challenge for Life possible and helps fund cancer research, enhanced patient care and support programs right here in Manitoba.
