COMMUNITY ACTIVITY: Community Clean Up

Tomorrow is the final day of our Annual Community Clean Up!

Let’s come together to show the beauty of Bloodvein River before we wrap up tomorrow with the Community BBQ.

All community members on-reserve are invited to participate. We encourage everyone to help clean along roadsides, ditches, and around yards. Every effort makes a difference, and together we can make our community shine.

Chief and Council will also be giving away prizes, including cash prizes, to celebrate everyone’s efforts.

A few reminders for everyone’s safety:
• Please clean up general trash only
• If you find sharp objects or hazardous waste, please report it and do not touch
• Wear gloves and use safe practices when cleaning near roadways
• Stay alert for traffic and report any bear sightings in community

Thank you to everyone who has already helped out this week. Let’s finish strong and show our community some love!

COMMUNITY NOTICE: Hockey Interest Call Out

Bloodvein Off-Reserve Programs are currently identifying Winnipeg-area members who are interested in hockey.

If you are a Bloodvein member living off-reserve in the Winnipeg area and are:
• a current or former hockey player, or
• interested in hockey opportunities

Please contact our office today to be added to our contact list.

We may have exciting hockey-related opportunities coming soon!

NOTICE: Gift Card Assistance Update

Effective May 11, 2026, the Bloodvein River Off-Reserve Office has changed how food security supports are offered.

The office will no longer be issuing gift cards as of today.

From this point forward, food security support will be offered through food hampers. The intake process will not be changing.

Requests can still be sent in by calling our offices at 204-944-0716.

NOTICE: Mother's Day Gifts for Off-Reserve Mothers

Bloodvein River First Nation is providing Mother's Day gifts for our off-reserve mothers. These will be available at our Winnipeg office, 200-1277 Henderson Hwy.

Quantities are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The pick up times are:
Thursday, May 7 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Friday, May 8 from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
