Gaming Under the Ice Welcome to Gaming Under the Ice (GUTI)! We are a non-profit Manitoba based gaming group. Focusing on getting people interested in the hobby.

We primarily focus on Warhammer 40,000 but we also dabble in all aspects of gaming culture. Focusing on getting people interested in the hobby and holding monthly casual 40k events. Each year, we run a sizable 40k tournament, called Majestic Beasties, with the goal to raise money for local Manitoba animal rescues.

Wes was gracious enough to answer a few questions for us! Maybe if you ask him nicely he might give you the recipe for his home made mayo in the comments
1.How did you discover guti and make the leap to come to your first event?
Me and the wife were looking for some models at gameknight when mica came up to us and told us about the community discord. After that I ended some games with a small group who encouraged me to take the jump.

2.Hows it feel to get voted best player fave in a GT then a doubles RTT
It feels great! The Winnipeg 40k community has been nothing but welcoming and full of great people.

3.Any tips to everyone on how to be a better opponent
Manners, respect your opponent and dont forget the most important thing is to have fun.

4.What qualities make someone a good opponent
For me personally I love a light hearted, opponent who brings the units that make them happy with a plan thats crazy but just might work.

5.Mayo or butter for grill cheese
Mayo for convenience and butter for flavour.

This Wednesday in our community focus series is the BACK to BACK player favourite from a GT to a RTT doubles, Wes!
