The Trans Canada Trail is more than just a trail. It's a national treasure that connects communities, supports local economies, strengthens tourism, and provides incredible opportunities for Canadians to get outdoors.

Thanksgiving weekend is the perfect time to get outside and explore the trails! With beautiful fall colours, fresh air, and incredible scenery, there's no better time to get out and enjoy nature!

🍂 Fall colours, creek views, and a little history along the way!

We recently had the chance to explore the Three Creeks Trail System, and WOW, what a gem!

The trails are in fantastic shape, winding through beautiful landscapes with some incredible creek vistas that are only getting better as the fall colours come alive! 😍

With plenty of side loops to explore, scenic spots to stop and soak it all in, and great gathering areas to connect with fellow trail enthusiasts, there's a little something for everyone.

The trail system is intertwined with the historic Fort Ellice Trail, adding a fascinating connection to the region's rich history. A chance to enjoy nature while following in the footsteps of those who travelled these routes long before us!

A huge shoutout to everyone involved in maintaining and caring for this wonderful trail system. Your hard work certainly shows!

Big skies and creek crossings on this one. 🍂
The Stanley Trail runs 69 km along the Pembina escarpment, from the RM of Thompson almost to the Canada/U.S. border. In fall, the open views and the colours along the creeks make this one of the best trails to see.
The trail follows the escarpment to the southeast. The southern part follows the old Boundary Commission Trail. Along the way, you'll see shale cliffs, open grassland, rolling hills, oak trees and poplar bush, with great views of the Red River Valley. The creek crossings near the escarpment are the hardest part of the trail, and the most beautiful.
📍 Where: RM of Stanley to Rosengart, Central Manitoba
📏 Length: 69 km (43 miles)
🥾 Trail type: natural trail, gravel trail, gravel road
🚴 Activities: hike, bike, horse riding (ski and snowshoe in winter)

⚠️ Safety tip: On roads, stay on the shoulder. Only go in daylight and good weather.
