September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today we recognize the Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities, and the children who never returned home.

We’re honoured to have had so many incredible Indigenous athletes, coaches, officials, and mentors be part of Team Toba over the years. Their talent, leadership and accomplishments have helped shape the Team Toba story and continue to inspire the next generation of Manitoba athletes.

Today, we are highlighting just a few of the many Indigenous athletes and coaches who have represented Team Toba:

🧡 Logan Tanner — Coach, Men’s Softball
🧡 Savannah Chapman-Cochrane — 2025 Indigenous Apprentice Coach, Wrestling
🧡 Maxine Lavitt — 2025 Canada Summer Games Para Swimming medallist
🧡 Luke Enns — 2025 Canada Summer Games flagbearer and medallist

Today and every day, we're committed to listening, learning, and continuing the work toward Truth and Reconciliation.
