Eco-Edge Economic Expressway:
Eco Express (knowledge, engagement, empowerment: breaking down barriers)

Objective: To engage youth through weekly workshops which addresses barriers to youth participation in the economy. Workshops (chosen, researched and organized by youth participants). These workshops will be open to the public youth ages (16-29) so the knowledge can be shared. Over the project duration each group will have gained education and training and will have gained employment experiences.

In addition to these workshops, each group will help create a video for a non for profit aboriginal organization. The youth will participate in the writing, filming and video shoots for this video. They will have learned about filming, camera use, lighting and audio/video equipment in technical training conducted by our technical staff. What Do You Get Out Of This Program???

-Gained self-confidence, training and knowledge about opportunities available to them in the community.
