Ed Penner, the RRBC South Chapter Chair, discussed the ongoing projects in the Roseau River International Watershed and Seine Rat Roseau Watershed District. This week, the RRBC was excited to participate in River Keepers Annual Water Festival! Fourth-grade students from across the Fargo-Moorhead area learned about different aspects of water and the Red River through fun, hands-on activities and educational experiences.

We’re proud to be part of an event that helps students understand the importance of the water resources we all share, and inspires the next generation to become stewards of the Red River Basin.

Our September Board Meeting and Tour was a wonderful opportunity for learning, reflection, and connection.

A special thank you to Moorhead Water Treatment Plant, Fargo Regional Water Reclamation Facility, and Tharaldson Ethanol for welcoming us to their facilities and sharing insight into the important work taking place throughout North Dakota and Minnesota.

During our meeting, we reflected on the RRBC’s unique mission and the meaningful work we have helped facilitate across the Red River Basin for more than 40 years. It was a great opportunity to celebrate the impact of that work and, most importantly, the partnerships that make it possible.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us, shared their time and expertise, and continues to contribute to the RRBC’s mission. Thank you for making this meeting both memorable and meaningful!

The RRBC was pleased to attend the Red River Watershed Management Board’s 50th Anniversary Celebration at the end of August, where we heard wonderful stories about the intertwined histories of the RRBC and RRWMB and celebrated the strong partnership we have built over the years.

Following the celebration, we joined partners for the MN Summer Partners Tour, exploring projects and hearing stories highlighting the important work happening across Minnesota.

Congratulations to RRWMB on this incredible milestone, and thank you to our Minnesota partners for coordinating a great tour!

BirdWeather devices have been deployed throughout the Netley-Libau Marsh. These devices record bird calls and environmental data. Once the data is uploaded to BirdWeather, the calls are identified and available for public viewing, and we will be continually uploading data. All of our stations begin with "NLM".
