Mensheds Manitoba Inc. A non-denominational non-profit peer-run program for men by men that meet weekly Tuesday and Wednesday. Where? Woodhaven Community Club, 200 Glendale Blvd.

Activities include wood carving, stained glass, cribbage, cooking club, recyling, walking tours, community volunteer work. Mensheds Manitoba Inc., a membership driven grassroots organization, run by experienced men for men. Activities include short term volunteering in the community, socialization such as cribbage and coffee, working on hobbies shoulder to shoulder, escorted walking tours in Winni

peg in the summer, and assisting organizations such as International Hope Canada by repairing walkers to be shipped to communities in need. Also, Men’s Shed Café, a once a month cooking experience for men to enjoy. This organization is based upon similar shed programs in Australia and Ireland. in St James. Neepawa Men Shed, Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9 to 11:30 am, 296 Mountain Ave. Some current projects for Touchwood store sales, Adirondack chairs and planters. Also working on bat houses for Town of Neepawa and 10 benches for Arts Foreward to sell as a fundraiser. Air Cadets air rifle backstops ready for September. Lots on the go!

Men's Sheds was represented at two activities recently.
Mental Health on the Prairies, Building Hope and Renewing Connections at Brandon U on April 25 and 26. Drove Dr Kyle (she/her) Whitfield, Associate Professor in the School of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Alberta to Brandon . Kyle was presenting her findings of exploring the benefits of a community-level activity from a recent research study of a couple of Men's Sheds in Alberta.
Men's Sheds attended the Care Fair, Navigating the Journey of Aging, at the Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road, April 29. Promoting the Wildwood Park Men's Shed, 271 North Drive, Mondays at 1:00 pm.
