Let's gear up for National Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Week (NOTDAW), from April 19 to April 25, 2026. As heart transplant recipients, we recognize NOTDAW's purpose is to raise organ and tissue donor awareness across our country. There is a critical need for organ donors and we encourage all Canadians to register their donor intentions. You can visit this link to all provincial registration sites at https://www.canada.ca/en/health/canada/services/healthy-living/blood-organ-tissue-donation/organ-tissue.html

Today, we simply want to say… thank you. 💚

To every Canadian who wore green, shared a story, started a conversation, registered their decision, or honoured a loved one — you showed up. And because of you, Green Shirt Day 2026 made an incredible impact across the country.

This year was so powerful because it wasn’t just about awareness — it was about action and connection. We saw more people than ever not only wearing green, but truly understanding why it matters. Families had meaningful conversations. Communities came together at events big and small. Stories of hope, loss, and life-saving generosity were shared from coast to coast.

You didn’t just participate — you carried forward Logan’s legacy and the ripple effect that continues to inspire a nation.

Because of you:
💚 Awareness reached new heights
💚 Conversations turned into registered decisions
💚 More Canadians are now part of the life-saving chain of organ and tissue donation

This is how change happens — together.

Let’s keep it going. Wear your Green Shirt Day shirt throughout the year. Keep sharing the message. Keep starting conversations. Keep inspiring others to register and tell their families.

One decision can create a lasting ripple effect. And this year, that ripple was stronger than ever.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of something so meaningful.

Today, Tuesday April 7, is Green Shirt Day 2026. It is a day to reflect on all organ donors who make the Gift of Life possible for organ recipients. Logan Boulet was a registered organ donor eight years ago when the tragic Humboldt bus crash occurred, creating a national wave of over 100,000 organ donor registrations across Canada known as the Logan Boulet Effect. Wear your green today, register to be an organ donor, tell your family and be inspired.

Today, we remember.
Today, we honour.
Today, we act. 💚

On Green Shirt Day, we recognize the legacy of Logan Boulet and the lives saved through one selfless decision.

That ripple continues today—in every conversation, every registration, and every life changed.

Wear green. Talk to your family. Register your decision.
Be part of the ripple effect.
