MEET SCO CHANGEMAKER: KRISTIAN STAGG
In June, the Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) is proudly shining a light on the people who continue to make a difference across our member Nations in honour of Indigenous History Month.
Today, we celebrate Kristian Stagg of Pinaymootang First Nation.
As the founder and head coach of the girls’ and boy’s teams that make up the Nation’s Warriors Volleyball Club, Kristian had 25 athletes taking part in the program.
Kristian, along with his wife Savannah, started the volleyball club over a year and a half ago.
In a relatively short period of time, the team developed their skills. In March, they were taking part in tournaments throughout Manitoba.
Kristian devotes his time, energy, and expertise on a VOLUNTEER basis.
When asked why, he explained: “We have to be the change that we want to see in our community.”
SCO is honoured to recognize Kristian Stagg as a Changemaker.
Stay tuned to SCO’s social media channels to meet more SCO Changemakers during Indigenous History Month.
