Manitoba Canola Growers

Manitoba Canola Growers Manitoba Canola Growers is a non profit organization that serves 7,500 canola farmers across Manitoba.

We work to share timely information with growers and useful resources to consumers about canola oil and canola production. Manitoba Canola Growers Association represents approximately 7,500 members. MCGA uses the canola check off dollars for “seed money” to grow the future. Every dollar spent is leveraged at the local, national, and international levels, and studies show that every dollar invested

by growers results in an impressive return on investment. Through the strategic, thoughtful investments of grower check off contributions, MCGA ensures that our members are well positioned to take advantage of opportunities to maximize their net income from growing canola.

Getting it right leads to the right action and helps protect yield and profit. Learn more in this week's Canola Watch ⬇️

This week, board member Jackie Dudgeon MacDonald will lend her farmer voice at the Canola Council of Canada board meeting.

While Manitoba Canola Growers focuses on farmer priorities here in Manitoba, the Canola Council of Canada addresses shared challenges by bringing together the entire canola value chain including: farmers, life science companies, grain handlers, exporters and processors, as well as food and feed manufacturers to processors. Campaign exposure works.

When Canadians see the Hello Canola campaign, awareness of canola’s use as a biofuel more than doubles, rising from 23% to 60%.*

Sentiment shifts too. Positive opinion of canola as a biofuel increases from 24% to 52% with campaign exposure.*

It’s changing the hearts and minds of Canadian consumers. And the exciting part? There’s still room to grow.
