💚 Farewell, Arlene 💚

After more than seven years together, it’s time to say goodbye to our wonderful coworker, friend, and deeply valued member of the BUILD family, Arlene as she steps into an exciting new chapter. Arlene has always brought an incredible amount of positivity, kindness, and genuine warmth to our space. No matter the challenge, she met it with patience, a great attitude, and a ready hand to lift up anyone around her. She has truly been someone we could all lean on—not just as a colleague, but as a real friend.

Arlene has walked alongside our trainees, staff, and community by generously sharing her cultural knowledge and the wisdom of the Seven Sacred Teachings. Through her words and the way she carries herself, she has been a constant reminder of love, respect, courage, honesty, wisdom, humility, and truth. She didn't just talk about these values—she lived them out every single day.

Arlene, thank you for the countless conversations, the endless support, the shared laughs, and the wisdom you've shared over these last seven years. You made a real difference here, and you will be deeply missed.

We are incredibly sad to see you leave our daily circle, but we are so excited for your next steps. We know you’ll bring that same fierce compassion, strength, and heart to your new role that you brought to BUILD every day. We wish you nothing but happiness, fulfillment, and beautiful things on the road ahead!

We're Hiring: Dispatcher for Skoden Flex Staffing (a division of BUILD Inc.)
Winnipeg, MB | Full-time, 40 hrs/wk | $21.50–$26/hr + benefits

Skoden connects workers with construction, demolition, and warehousing jobs across Winnipeg. We're looking for a Dispatcher to be the heartbeat of our daily operations.

What you'll do:
• Match and dispatch workers to job sites
• Coordinate transportation (and drive workers when needed)
• Manage PPE inventory and our worker waiting area
• Keep accurate records and support payroll
• Open the office and get the crew ready each morning (6:00 a.m. start)

What we're looking for:
• Strong organization, multitasking, and people skills
• Comfortable with early mornings
• Valid driver's license and smartphone
• Scheduling, logistics, or customer service experience (an asset)
• Experience supporting people facing barriers to employment is a plus
