Matthews neighbourhoods in Winnipeg's West End. Our office hours to make an appointment to see staff are from 1 pm to 6 pm Monday to Thursday and 1 pm to 5 pm on Friday. For the public drop-ins and other programming offered at our resource centre, please see the post at the top of our page for the latest information. West End Resource Centre – First Aid/CPR (Level C) Training and Certification

We are hosting a FREE First Aid/CPR Level C Training and Certification through the PREP Employment Readiness Program in partnership with Canadian Red Cross – Heart Smart and Funded by Province of Manitoba for Eligible Candidates.

Registration Deadline: June 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM
Info Session: June 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM
FACPR Training: June 19,2026
Location: 823 Ellice Avenue, Winnipeg, MB
Pre-registration is mandatory to participate.

If you have already registered, you do not need to register again. Please send an email to [email protected] with your name to confirm your spot for this upcoming training.

Please note: Attendance at the Info Session and completion of the Skills for Success Employment Training are mandatory requirements for all participants. This is a provincial guideline and there will be no exceptions. These requirements apply to everyone without exception, and must be completed to keep this training fair and consistent for all candidates.

To qualify, you must:
Be 18 years of age or older
Be a Winnipeg, MB resident
Be unemployed or underemployed
Be eligible to work in Canada
Have a valid Social Insurance Number
Be actively looking for employment
Complete an interview
Complete the job readiness series

This training is free for qualifying candidates. Seats are limited to 21 and selection is subject to availability and active participation in the program.

🍞We do not have Harvest surplus today but do have a selection of bread, produce, and other items available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Looking to start working in the food industry? Registration is now open for the PREP Employment Program with Safe Food Handler Certificate Training.

This program is for qualifying participants who are unemployed or underemployed and ready to work.

Info Session: June 1 at 10:00 AM
Location: 823 Ellice Ave, Winnipeg
Registration Deadline: May 29 at 1:00 PM

Program Requirements:
• 18 years or older
• Resident of Winnipeg, MB
• Unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week
