Sunshine House is a community drop-in and resource centre focusing on harm reduction and social inclusion. We work to provide programming that fulfills people’s social, community, and recreational needs. Participants can come as they are, and are not expected to be “clean” or sober. Sunshine House is located on Treaty 1 Territory, in the ori

ginal lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation. Sunshine House respects the complex histories and traditions of Indigenous Peoples and communities. We are committed to the philosophy of proactive decolonization in the programs we develop.

Like That is Sunshine House's evening drop-in, primarily for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks. It runs Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9pm at 646 Logan (but not this Monday, we're closed for Labour Day!)

International Overdose Awareness Day Winnipeg Rally

Listen to advocates speak to the current weight of the toxic drug crisis and its effects. Bring photos of your lost loved ones to be placed on the legislature steps.

Please be aware that there will be a die-in demonstration followed by a moment of silence to honor those we have lost. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory. A “die-in,” also referred to as a “lie-in,” is a type of protest where participants mimic being deceased.

Today was Helina’s last day! As Director of Gizhiwenimin Initiatives, they’ve brought so much heart to Sunshine House, managing our sexual health and well-being programs and also supporting q***r newcomers and refugee claimants. With empathy, diligence, intelligence and compassion, they’ve been a fierce and effective advocate. It’s a sad loss for us but a gain for the places Helina will be going after this. Ameseginalew ❤️ Thank you for everything!
