Bikes, beers, and spirited debate (what more could you ask for? 😃)

The second edition of Lectures and Lagers is rolling onto The Forks Patio this Thursday! Winnipeg’s first-ever Bike Mayor and Bike Winnipeg board director Patty Wiens will be leading a conversation on all things cycling in the city.

The talk will be followed by an optional group bike ride through downtown. If you’re riding along, please drink responsibly and dress for the weather!

20 years of impactful work 🤝✨

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba. We sat down with current Treaty Commissioner, Loretta Ross, to reflect on the significance of this milestone and the importance of treaties in advancing reconciliation.

The anniversary also coincides with Treaty Week in Manitoba! Join the Treaty Relations Commission at the Agowiidiwinan Centre for a week of activities celebrating treaties and treaty relationships. From new exhibits and local presentations to meaningful conversations centred on the Spirit of Treaties, there is no shortage of opportunity to take part, listen, and learn.

Lectures & Lagers is back for round two, this time with , Winnipeg’s first-ever Bike Mayor and board director with Bike Winnipeg.

Join her on The Forks Patio as she challenges the idea that active transportation “just won’t work in here.” From debunking myths around winter cycling and bike lanes to exploring what people-first streets could look like in Winnipeg, expect an evening of bold ideas and cold pints.
