Where the aim is to get dirty and be Kreative This program fills this role.

Arts and Crafts Group
for Ages 6-13. (under 6 must be accompanied by an adult)

It is a drop in based program where children can learn with and express their creativity. The Weeknight Program Fridays

One evenings a week we have structured crafts including: paper mache; tie-dyed shirts; sewing projects or learning about a famous artist before painting in their st

yle. A healthy snack is provided

The Weekend Program

Twice a month on alternating Saturday evenings we host
Games & Crafts night and Family Movie night. At Games and Crafts night the children can play a board game, a group orientated Wii Game or create something of their own design with the craft supplies provided. At Movie night the whole family can enjoy a movie together complete with popcorn and juice. The Need

The Weston area does not have much in terms of free recreational programming for children. Families have a place where they can send their children to socialize and let them express themselves creatively. It’s a place where parents know their children will be safe. Kreative Kids was a long standing crafting program in the Weston Area. Been Busy was a side project of Kreative Kids Director that started because they bought a house with a grape vine.

During Covid we switched gears and combined with Kreative Kitchens to provide weekly meals and take home art activity bags since we could no longer craft in person.

Even though the pandemic has past, the weekly meal program is still going strong, offering meals and activity bags to over 300 people each week. Kreative kids has even started some in-person crafting fun again.

Many of Been Busy’s Creations are made with surplus donated food from the meal program, to help eliminate food Waste.

Kreative kids art activites also try to focus on using recycled items as much as possible.
