Peace Days MB

Peace Days is an initiative of Rotary District 5550 World Peace Partners. Peace Days started with a music concert with local artists promoting understanding, goodwill and peace at the Forks on September 21, 2010 on a cold and windy day outside under the canopy. It has evolved into a growing annual Festival involving multiple venues and thousands of diverse peoples, demographics and cultures. The w

ays of expressing and gathering together have in common the noble purpose of inspiring and facilitating the goodness of each human, promoting positive peace, peace literacy and justice for all. This is done by each of us being a piece of peace nurturing, nudging and integrating change in human created systems and attitudes and practices of members of the global human family that need to change to fulfill the awesome potential of the human species for good. This must be done to avoid increasing misery and injustice for too many of our global human family and to eliminate the unacceptable risks of inevitable self-destruction through the likes of nuclear risk and climate change if we do not make significant changes soon. Peace Days comprises a diversified program of events which have been created to appeal to people of all ages throughout the City of Winnipeg.
