Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day dedicated to celebrating the rich culture of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.

Have you seen the mural on the side of Harrow United Church?

In 2023 artists Jeannie Whitebird and Charlie Johnston welcomed an Elder and group of young Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists to join in the process of painting a mural for Harrow United Church, with the goal of working together to spark ongoing conversations and acts of reconciliation. The project was funded by the Winnipeg Foundation Walking Together Grant, with financial support from Rolling River First Nation, Take Pride Winnipeg and Harrow United Church.
