Happy Thanksgiving.

Harrow United Church is located on Treaty One Land, the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Ojibway, the Dene and the Inuit peoples, and in the heart of the Metis Nation, very close to the historic site of Rooster Town, and just a short distance from both the birthplace and burial place of Louis Riel. We are also grateful for the water which flows to us from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.

We acknowledge the history, spirituality, languages and cultures of these peoples, and their connection to the land from time immemorial. We also acknowledge the pain and suffering they have endured because of colonialism and racism. We commit ourselves to the mending of broken relationships and to new ways of living with respect on this land, and in peace and friendship with its peoples.

Happy Thanksgiving. 🍁🍂 Let thanks and giving be a part of our every day.
