On May 29, 1926, the first Legion badge, said to be made from Manitoba gold, was presented to the Governor General, Lord Byng of Vimy. Its design has remained largely unchanged, becoming a lasting symbol of the Legion’s identity and commitment to Veterans, Remembrance, and community service.

All public is welcome to come out and watch these flags be raised in honour of the Royal Canadian Legion 100th Anniversary.
Bring a lawn chair, and bottled water.
