Skates off, paintbrushes at the ready! πŸŽ¨πŸ’

Dream Kid Payton's entire hockey team spent a morning at The Dream Factory decorating mini hockey sticks, celebrating Payton getting back on the ice.

These crafts will be sold at our Josh Morrissey Classic at the Winnipeg Kinsmen hole, where the Kinsmen will be matching all sales up to $5,000! But they're more than just a keepsake - they're symbols of celebration that represents the Dream Factory journey that kids like Payton experience. ✨☁️ The joy of feeling like a kid again and the magic of our community making that possible.

And the story doesn't stop there. During dinner at the clubhouse after the tournament, Payton and her family will share her journey with our guests and inspire everyone to keep Dreaming BIG.

From the craft table to the clubhouse, Payton's story keeps bringing our community together. πŸ©΅β›³

Today, we're remembering the magic of Dolly Parton - and how she made a Dream Come True for Fallon. 🩷

A few years ago, Fallon dreamed about meeting Dolly Parton. Travel wasn't possible because of her dialysis treatments, so instead, we brought Dolly to her! We decorated our space in pink cowgirl vibes from top to bottom, rhinestones and all - we also set Fallon up with her very own cowgirl hat and a pile of Dolly merch. πŸ€ πŸ‘’ Then, on the big screen, Dolly and Fallon met face to face.

They sang together. They talked about songwriting.🎀🎸 Fallon's parents watched her light up - starstruck at first, and then just delighted, chatting with one of her heroes like they were old friends.

Dolly gave so many people so much joy over the years, and we are endlessly grateful she gave some of that joy to Fallon. ☁️✨ Rest easy, Dolly, and thank you for helping us Dream big.

Dream Kid Ranier had one Dream in mind: to see her favourite K-Pop group, TWICE, live in concert. 🩡🎢

To help her get ready, we set her up with private K-Pop dance lessons before the trip, so she'd be ready to move when the moment came. And move she did! πŸ‘πŸ’ƒ This spring, Ranier and her mom Annie headed to Orlando for a VIP concert experience - and Annie says she watched her daughter clap and dance along to every song, something she'd never seen her do before.

From there, the Dream continued at Universal Studios, where the Wizarding World of Harry Potter brought joy in the form of magic wands and chocolate chili ice cream. πŸͺ„πŸ¨ Then Nintendo World brought it's own kind of interactive fun entirely! A personal server at breakfast each morning made sure Ranier's dietary needs were met, and shared burgers became one of many small traditions along the way, part of what Annie calls six days of real bonding time with her daughter.

Ranier is at university now studying architecture, and she and Annie already have a promise in place: to come back and visit The Dream Factory, and to help pass that same joy on to other Dream Kids. ☁️✨

Our friend Grant White set out to paddleboard across Lake Winnipeg. This summer, he did exactly that. πŸ›Ά Weeks of training. Weeks of fundraising. And then, paddle stroke by paddle stroke, Grant made his way across Manitoba's largest lake, all in the name of Dreaming bigger for sick kids across the province.

The result? Grant's Paddle of Dreams raised an incredible $4,130 to help bring more Dreams to life!✨

But Grant isn't done making waves. 🌊 He's already gearing up for the next big fundraiser, Endeavour Wealth Management's Hill of Dreams, where Winnipeggers are invited to climb Garbage Hill 30, 60, or 100 times on September 19! Whether you're in it for grueling challenge or the great cause - this day is going to be a blast. Sign up today at https://loom.ly/i7nm1a4 to climb alongside Grant and other awesome folks!

Thank you, Grant, for being a Dream Maker who dares to dream big, one paddle stroke and one hill climb at a time. 🩡

This is Payton. πŸ©΅πŸ’ A hockey player, a fighter, and as of December 2025, a Dream Kid.

After a lymphoma diagnosis turned her world upside down, Payton found something steady: a community showing up for her, again and again. Since becoming a Dream Kid, she's designed her own burger with The Fairmont Winnipeg, received surprise gifts, and is feeling more confident every day. πŸ”πŸŽβœ¨

Now, she's counting down to her next big moment: meeting hockey stars at the Josh Morrissey Classic. 🀩 Payton and her family will join us for the big day to bravely share her story and tell us all about what her Dream Factory experience has held for her.

"The Dream Factory gives you something to look forward to while you're going through this journey," Payton says. "It's something to pick you up when you're down. Being part of these experiences gives you excitement."

Join us at JMC this year and be part of what makes moments like this possible.β›³βœ¨

In one month, the fairways are going to be full of laughter, friendly competition, and a whole lot of heart. β›³

The Josh Morrissey Classic isn't just a golf tournament, it's a day where our whole community comes together for one reason: Dream Kids and their families. Our whole community of Dream Makers, families, community partners, and volunteers all show up and give this day everything they've got.

We couldn't tell this story without thanking Exchange Income Corporation, our presenting sponsor since 2018. 🀩 For nine years running, EIC has helped this tournament grow into something extraordinary, and in 2024, the JMC passed the $1 million raised mark together.

EIC has also made it a priority to support Dream Kids and families from Northern Manitoba, many of whom travel to Winnipeg for treatment, far from home and everything familiar. Their continual support helps us bring bright moments to kids and families no matter where in Manitoba they call home. 🩡

This year, we're looking to keep the ball rolling - the excitement is already building! This is just the beginning of this year's story, so follow along as we count down to JMC 2026! ☁️✨

Mark your calendars for 1 week from tomorrow! πŸ₯‹

On Saturday, August 15, Strangle Submission Series is bringing elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the historic Metropolitan Entertainment Centre for Strangle at The MET, and we could not be more excited.

Since 2023, this event has been in our corner, using the sport of submission grappling to do good in our community, making magic possible for kids in Manitoba facing life-threatening illnesses. Canada's top grapplers will battle it out in submission-only super fights, plus the highly anticipated return of the Quintet Team Challenge! 🀩 Whether you're a longtime fan or brand new to the sport, this is unlike anything else happening in Winnipeg that night.

Here's the best part: every ticket helps bring Dreams to life. Strangle Submission Series has raised nearly $60,000 for The Dream Factory since 2023, helping us manufacture magic for Dream Kids across Manitoba.

Grab your tickets and come cheer on some of the country's best grapplers, all while supporting Dream Kids facing life-threatening illnesses. 🎟️ Visit www.stranglesubmissionseries.ca to get tickets today!

Let's pack the house for a great cause! 🀼

Seventeen-year-old dancer Bailey has always had rhythm in her soul, so when it came time to Dream, there was only one show that made sense: Dancing With The Stars Tour.πŸ’ƒβœ¨

Thanks to Dream Makers like you, Bailey, her sister, and her mom got to see the tour live in Mississippi, and the magic did not stop at the show. During the VIP pre-show event, Bailey played charades with the cast and even snagged a photo with the dancers themselves.

But this Dream became so much more than one night. The trip turned into a full family adventure: exploring New Orleans, feeding alligators on an airboat tour, taking a ferry to Ship Island to spot dolphins, and soaking up the sun on Pensacola Beach.

Bailey's mom said it best: they had an amazing time. And that is exactly what Dreaming together looks like.☁️
