200 people. Pouring rain. Glowing arrows.

Our St. Sebastian & St. Sebastianette Pole Archery Clubs were the ONLY attraction brave enough to stay outdoors at Nuit Blanche St. Boniface on Sept 26 — and roughly 200 visitors came out to Provencher Park anyway! 🌧️

The night featured:
🎯 Mini horizontal pole archery lit up with pickleball lights
🔄 Flashing rolling hoops (a massive hit!)
📚 Dr. Roland Bohr's presentation on Indigenous archery

A huge thank you to Sport en français, a key partner who made this event happen, as well as our sponsors and the incredible volunteers from all our pole archery clubs, the TCM volunteer pool, and MASRA who stuck it out until 11 p.m. 🙌

Organizer Keith Loraas summed it up best: "I saw nothing but smiles." 😄

Team Manitoba Archery - 2027 Canada Winter Games Selection Update

Following this past weekend's first two local qualifiers, we are excited to release the initial Team Manitoba Archery - 2027 Canada Winter Games Selection Ranking List.

2027 MEMBERSHIPS ARE OPEN!

As of October 1, you can purchase your 2027 Archery Manitoba & Archery Canada membership.

🆕 New members: Join now and get full benefits from October 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027 — 15 months for the price of one year.

🔁 Current members: Renew by December 31, 2026, so your coverage and benefits roll into the new year without a gap.

What's new for 2027:

Competitive Adult: $35 → $45/year
Coach/Judge: +$2 (Archery Canada fee only — Archery MB takes $0 from coaches & judges)
Club/Program: still just $10/year
Competitive Youth: $25/year

Yes, costs are going up everywhere — including in our sport. But here's the perspective: a $10 club membership costs the same as a couple of coffees. A $45 competitive membership costs about as much as lunch for two these days.

For that, you get $5M liability insurance, competition eligibility, national rankings pathways, coaching and officiating development, Safe Sport protection, Perkopolis perks — and some of the lowest membership fees in Canada.

Archery Manitoba is recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th as a way to honour the lives lost and acknowledge the lasting impact residential schools continue to have on Indigenous individuals, families, and communities.

There are many ways to mark this day, whether by attending a local event, wearing an orange shirt to help spread awareness, or taking time to learn on your own. 🏹 Fri Oct 2, 6:00 PM — Jo-Brook Outdoors, Brandon
🏹 Sun Oct 4, 5:30 PM — Heights, Winnipeg
🏹 Fri Oct 16, 6:00 PM — Jo-Brook Outdoors, Brandon
🏹 Sat Oct 17, 2:00 PM — Heartland, Winnipeg
🏹 Fri Oct 23, 6:00 PM — Jo-Brook Outdoors, Brandon
🏹 Sun Oct 25, 5:30 PM — Heights, Winnipeg

To further this commitment, we are notifying our membership about The Protecting Youth in Sports Act (Bill 21) and our newly adopted Safe Sport Policy Manual.

This important Manitoba legislation ensures safe sporting environments for athletes aged 21 and under by requiring:

Mandatory coaching education
Independent investigation of maltreatment
Universal discipline for coaches or officials
