Not only do we have SO many yard sale items for sale, we also have warm coffee and chocolate bars.

These four beauties are STILL waiting for homes. We are on a mission to find their perfect places by the end of September.

Can you foster or adopt?

A bit about them:

Blinky is a 3-4 year old Husky/Shepherd cross. She's energetic, mischievous & entertaining. She's good with most other dogs her size. Housetrained and kennel trained.

Raven is a 2 year old Shepherd cross. She's shy, sensitive & sweet. She's good with other dogs her size. She's housetrained and kennel trained.

Hawk is a 2 year old Shepherd cross who needs a firm, dog-savvy adopter (because he will push boundaries otherwise). He is exceptionally loyal, smart & bonded to his people. Hawk needs a home with no kids. Dogs his own size are fine. He his housetrained and kennel trained.

Bowser is a 4 year old Husky/Boxer cross. He's loving, goofy, lazy & curious. He's good with most other dogs his own size. He's housetrained and kennel trained.

We're dangerously low on volunteers for this weekend's yard sale. We're sad that it comes to begging for help every year. All we need is 20-25 people, per shift, which isn't much so...we're still hopeful we can pull this off.

Please see the shifts below, and the amount of help we have for each one. If a few people can give just an hour or two to help the pets, we can make this a success!

Friday, Aug 7 from 5-7pm: 6 volunteers
Saturday, Aug 8 from 730-930am: 4 volunteers
Saturday, Aug 8 from 430-630pm: 3 volunteers
Sunday, Aug 9 from 8-10am: 6 volunteers
Sunday, Aug 9 from 430-630pm: 2 volunteers

**Reminder, we need 20-25 people per shift for this to happen.

We are SO close to hitting our target of 200 pizzas sold!

We're sitting at 126 and, even though the fundraiser closes tonight, we're positive we can make it.

It's not too late to place an order. Email & e-transfer us at [email protected] (password: PIZZA) before tomorrow morning with your selections and payment :)

The varieties are:
1. Rocco's Special: pepperoni, salami, green peppers, mushrooms
2. Canadian Special: pepperoni, back bacon, mushrooms
3. Hawaiian: back bacon, ham, pineapple
4. Pepperoni lovers: double the pepperoni!
5. Cheeza: 4-cheese blend
6. Veggie: green pepper, tomato, onion, mushroom
7. Frozen pizza shells: pack of 5

All pizzas are $13.50 each and the frozen shells are $15. No taxes!

We are still seriously short-handed for next weekend's yard sale. We can't put it on without at least 20 people (at bare minimum) for each shift. Here are our numbers so far:

Friday, Aug. 7 from 5-7pm (to load the moving truck): 1
Saturday, Aug. 8 from 7:30-930am: 3
Saturday, Aug. 8 from 4-6pm: 1
Sunday, Aug. 9 from 8-10am: 1
Sunday, Aug. 9 from 4:30-6:30pm: 2

PLEASE offer to lend a hand. Bring friends, bring family...let's get everyone involved!

As a thank you, juice & snacks will be provided for morning shifts, and pizza & pop will be available during the evening shifts. Each volunteer will also be entered to win our summer raffle basket!

Thank you to everyone who's been helping us with fundraising lately. As you know, we're on a quest to pay off our $20,000 debt - which isn't easy - and we certainly couldn't do it without you.

This beautiful August long weekend, we're looking to hit some pretty important targets with our current initiatives. We continue to sell Rocco's Pizzeria frozen pizzas (which are amazing on the BBQ!) and we continue to prepare for our GIANT yard sale, taking place August 8 & 9.

Our pizza sales goal is 200 pizzas. Right now, we're sitting at: 113. Please comment below AND send us a message for an order form. THIS MONDAY is the deadline to submit your selections!

Our yard sale goal is to secure at least 20 volunteers per shift. So far, here are our numbers:

Friday, August 7th (5pm-7pm): 1
Saturday, August 8th (7:30am-9:30am): 2
Saturday, August 8th (4pm-6pm): 2
Sunday, August 9th (8am-10am): 1
Sunday, August 9th (4:30pm-6:30pm): 2

These numbers are embarrassingly low, which is so scary to us because we CANNOT make the yard sale happen without many helping hands. Please donate a few hours of time to any of the shifts above next weekend. Comment below and send us a message to confirm your availability!

Our HUGE fundraising yard sale is just over two weeks away!

This is our final push to make this the incredible success we know it can be...and NEED it to be!

We are still collecting gently used items (no older electronics, pls) in the Inkster and Transcona areas. If anyone has a donation to make to the sale, comment below AND send us a pm to arrange drop off!

Just as importantly, we need VOLUNTEERS! If we don't secure 20 volunteers for each shift, we cannot make this happen. Last year, one of our teammates fell ill after the sale from too much heat and too much exertion due to a lack of helping hands.

Benny did well through his operation but he's sad that not one dollar was donated toward his care 😢

It's not too late to show him the love by donating through e-transfer to [email protected] (password: BENNY).

Permanent foster, Benny, is in with our friends at Arrowwood Animal Hospital for his big dental today. This guy's teeth needed some serious TLC to make him feel 100% again 🦷

Please wish him well through surgery & recovery and, if anyone is able to contribute toward his $1000 vet bill, he would be SO grateful.
