**We are at risk of closing**

The team at Funds for Pets has been struggling with how to proceed in rescue for a while now. We desperately want to continue helping animals in need, but just don't have the ability to keep on the way we've been going.

It's not fair to us, it's not fair to people engaging with us, and it's certainly not fair to the animals.

Everyone is burnt out and we need to find a way to recharge and re-energize so we can put our best feet forward.

Sadly, we recently ran a few fundraisers that had very little response. This is a huge part of what's making life so difficult for us currently. We need everyone's support, now more than ever, or we really will be facing the impossible decision of shutting down - which would be heartbreaking.

In a last-ditch effort to pull ourselves out of the dark situation we find ourselves in, we're turning to YOU for help.

The reality: we are $15,000 in debt at this moment, with bills mounting daily for the pets in our care. This is the highest we've owed in years.

Our goal: to raise $6,000 by Friday to start offering the businesses we work with payments on our accounts. To show them we're trying hard to work this out (as quickly as possible).

How you can help: take part in our 10 + 10 fundraising campaign!

*David, Jazzy & Benny were all SUPER brave as they underwent their annual vetting, bloodwork & heartworm tests, with our friends Arrowwood Animal Hospital. Benny also had an echocardiogram in preparation for his upcoming dental. The total cost JUST FOR THESE THREE was $1373. Please help!

She's so Raven!

This black beauty is 2 years old and ready to give so much love!

She's shy in nature but such a cuddler once she's settled in. She's sweet, loyal, and ready for her forever home.

Raven is good with most other dogs, as long as a proper introduction is done. She's fully vetted and housetrained. She hopes not everyone overlooks her just because she's got a black coat 😢

Let's show this gal some affection and find her a foster or adoptive home asap!

Flower Power 🌺

When we say these Lacoste Garden Centre baskets are beautiful, we mean it!

They make gorgeous additions to any outdoor space. They come with detachable hangars so they're versatile between a hanging basket and a standing flower pot. Only $40 each!

For anyone interested, they make amazing Mother's Day gifts and will be ready for pick up in the Tyndall Park area, unless otherwise arranged, by May 6th.

Thank you to one of our biggest and most consistent supporters, Garden City Shopping Centre for hosting an adoption day just before Easter 💕

We raised over $400 from our bake sale & summer raffle basket and had an application come in for Charlie!

Many thanks as well to those who brought their foster dogs, those who volunteered and to those who baked delicious treats 🍪

This weekend we are alternating posts between our current fundraisers and our adoptable dogs.

We are in desperate need of funds to cover current vet bills, including an upcoming cardiac ultrasound & dental (estimated at over $1,500). Boarding costs are high. Medical care is high. Supply costs are high.

We are also in desperate need of fosters & adopters. We have a few long-term dogs that DESERVE a home. They are amazing...they just need some TLC.

So, let's start with Bowser "talking" about our Rumor's Night and Lacoste Flower fundraisers. Both fundraisers close this WEDNESDAY so we're almost out of time!

Rumor's is featuring always-funny Mark Forward as the comic, and tickets are $20 each. It's taking place April 29th at 7:45pm and is an 18+ event.

Lacoste Garden Centre is selling hanging flower baskets for $40 each. They're stunning and make great additions to any outdoor space. They also make wonderful Mother's Day gifts ♥
