The Manitoba government has recently announced an increase to the $5/hour wage support subsidy—but only for educators working in public and government-funded centres. This means that educators in private licensed centres like ours are being left out, even though we follow the same regulations and provide the same quality care.

This decision is deeply unfair to the educators who care for and teach your children every day. All early childhood educators deserve to be recognized and supported equally, no matter where they work. This is not about funding but its is about equality, inclusiveness, recognition and respect for all ECEs

A petition has been started to ask the government to extend this wage support to all licensed childcare educators across Manitoba. I kindly ask you to take a moment to sign and share the petition with your friends and family.

Had a productive meeting!!!! We came together to discuss the unique challenges faced by parents, children, and staff in private childcare. Despite being regulated by the province, the private childcare community often feels unheard and unsupported. By sharing our experiences, we’re working together to find solutions and strengthen our community. Thank you team AMDO for year of hard word!!!! -
