IMPORTANT - HELP NEEDED THIS WEEKEND AT THE MB. MARATHON!!

Support the Manitoba Marathon Sustainability Team – Paid Opportunity
The Manitoba Marathon, taking place on Father's Day, Sunday, June 21, is seeking individuals, community groups, clubs, and teams to support our Sustainability and Event Set up Teams.
Sustainability Volunteers will be stationed at waste-sorting pods throughout the event, helping participants properly sort materials into recycling, compost, landfill, and chip bag recycling streams. Duties also include some light lifting, such as assisting with changing waste bags when needed.
Set up volunteers will work with Tech Team leads to set up both the finish line area and the start line. Duties include lifting, putting up signage and setting up products and scrim etc.
Available Shifts
Set Up Teams
- Friday, June 19, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Saturday, June 20, 8:30 AM-12:00 PM
Sustainability Team
• Sunday, June 21, 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM (25 positions available)
• Sunday, June 21, 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM (15 positions available)
Compensation
• $20 per hour
We welcome individuals as well as organized groups interested in filling multiple positions or an entire shift. Youth are welcome to participate when accompanied by a parent, guardian, or designated chaperone.

Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Knight of Celebration on Friday! We look forward to putting on this event every year and welcoming Winnipeg to our centre. Special thanks to Special Events Directors Tiffany and Rachel, to sponsor RE/MAX Performance and to all the volunteers and staff who made it a success.

Our BIG event is tomorrow already! Make sure to spread the word :-)
Our dunk tank is a fundraiser for Grateful Friends Animal Rescue, which is a foster-based and 100% volunteer run rescue! Donations go directly to the efforts we put into helping cats and dogs in Manitoba.
Your donations will help with:
-food for cats and dogs
-emergency medical care
-spay/neuter surgeries
-vaccines and deworming
-transportation of animals from northern communities
-supplies for foster homes

This year's Annual Knight of Celebration will take place on Friday, June 5th, so make sure to mark this date on your calendar! Plans are being finalized over the next couple weeks, but this FREE event will include a petting zoo, bouncers, dunk tank (in support of a local rescue), kids games and lots of fun. The evening will end off with a Low-Noise Fireworks display at dusk.
