🔘About the Manitobear Statues🔘
In 2005 in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, The "Bears on Broadway" event took place as a celebration and fundraising initiative by the Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation to mark their 75th anniversary. The event featured 62 large, 8,000-pound concrete polar bears decorated by local artists, which were placed along Broadway Boulevard and around downtown Winnipeg. This project aimed to raise awareness about cancer prevention and promote healthy lifestyle choices, generating significant community engagement and fundraising efforts.

🔹Sioux Lookout Shrine Club🔹
On September 26,2026 the Harley Owner’s Group (HOGS) held a fundraiser for the Nishnawbe-Gamik Friendship Centre “Toys for Tots” program. This raises funds for Christmas presents and holiday meals for children and families in need of support.
The Sioux Lookout Shrine Family was honoured to support this cause by donating “Shrine Fries” to the meal, and a cash donation to purchase toys and meals for children and families.

Taking place on October 3, the Shrine Bowl is a special charity football game held in support of Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada.

Unlike regular game-day raffles, the net proceeds from this 50/50 draw will directly benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada, helping provide specialized treatments, rehabilitation services, innovative research, and life-changing opportunities for children with complex orthopedic conditions, regardless of their family's ability to pay.

By participating in the 50/50 draw, you are giving children the possibility to overcome challenges, achieve greater independence, and reach their full potential.
