Winnipeg Lights - Take Two!

On June 10th, we got to see the beautiful Esplanade Bridge lit up in purple for Lipedema Awareness. The Winnipeg sign was to be lit up also but wasn’t working due to the recent storm. So the City is lighting up both the bridge and the Winnipeg sign for us again on Monday June 15th!

Thank you for showing up today. It meant so much to the Lipedema Canada & Lipedema Manitoba board members to have our community support the work that we do. It was an honour to meet with the Minister of Health, Uzoma Asagwara, to receive an official Lipedema Awareness Day Declaration. Happy World Lipedema Awareness Day!

Today is the day that Manitoba’s Minister of Health, Uzoma Asagwara, will be presenting us with an official copy of the Lipedema Awareness Day Declaration.

This is a historic moment for our community, and we want to fill the Legislative Building with as many members, families, friends and allies as possible to witness this meaningful recognition. Following the presentation, there will be an incredible photo opportunity with the Minister to commemorate this milestone.

Your presence will help demonstrate the strength of our community and the impact that recognition and awareness can have for those living with lipedema.

Please invite your family, friends and supporters to join us as we celebrate this important achievement together. Let’s show how much this recognition means to our community!
