You’re Welcome Part 3

Did you know Canada’s parliament made all printed matter about ma*****na illegal in 1985? High Times was banned for the next 9 years, 5,000 copies of Grow Yer Own Stone were seized by RCMP, anything printed or on video was illegal with a $100,000 fine and/or 6 months in jail. To sell a book. Until 3 men decided that was wrong in a democracy.

NORML Canada’s Umberto Iorfida, lawyer Alan Young, and myself, got charged under section 462.2 when handing out NORML literature in front of a school where police had organized a sting of 52 students by sending one female undercover police officer in asking every male if he could find her w**d.

So the principal called police and we were charged with handing out illicit drug literature in front of the school.

We were able to challenge the constitutionality of this law. In July 1994, we convinced Judge J Ellen McDonald to strike down the law in the Ontario Superior Court.

That challenge made all information and video material about any kind of drugs or plants legal after 9 years of a complete prohibition.

Authorized by Marc Emery, Official Agent.
