With the internationally recognized Composites Innovation Centre, the cluster has a unique and growing capability in the research and development, manufacturing, repair, and commercialization of composites. Manitoba Aerospace Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Beverlie Stuart as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 6, 2026.

Bev is a respected and accomplished leader in Manitoba with extensive experience in organizational leadership, business and workforce development, and innovation. She has spent her career building strong partnerships and driving innovation to advance shared priorities and economic growth in the province.

Most recently, Bev served as Vice President of Business Development and Community Initiatives at the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology, where she played an instrumental role in strengthening industry partnerships and advancing initiatives aligned with evolving industry needs and opportunities. She has just completed her second term as Chair of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, where her leadership and advocacy helped elevate the voice of Manitoba’s business community and strengthen collaboration across sectors.

Bev’s work has had a meaningful impact across the public, private, and non-profit sectors where she’s held key roles, including the Executive Coordinator for the Minister’s Advisory Council for Workforce Development, where she provided strategic leadership and guidance on workforce priorities that shaped the province’s economic landscape. Bev also played a foundational role in establishing the Alliance of Manitoba Sector Councils (AMSC) as a first-of-its-kind cross-sector collaboration in Manitoba. As Executive Director, she helped bring together key industries to advance workforce development and training initiatives, creating a legacy of partnership and innovation that continues to be recognized today.

“The Board is excited to embark on the next chapter for Manitoba Aerospace with Bev at the helm,” said Brent Ostermann, Board Chair, Manitoba Aerospace. “Her vision, commitment to workforce development and proven ability to cultivate partnerships will ensure that the organization continues to broaden its impact, advance innovation, and support the growth of Manitoba’s aerospace sector.”

Manitoba Aerospace would also like to express its heartfelt appreciation to retiring CEO Wendell Wiebe for his dedicated leadership over the past 17 years. His contributions have shaped the organization, the industry, and the province.

AAiM Day 2026: Hands-On Learning Takes Flight! ✈️🚀

Since 2007, Manitoba Aerospace has proudly hosted the annual Aerospace and Aviation in Manitoba (AAiM) Day. This year, we were thrilled to welcome approximately 700 Grade 6 students for an action-packed, half-day learning experience!

We were also honored to have Mayor
join us to see the excitement firsthand as we connect classroom learning to real-world careers.

Hosted at the incredible RRC Polytech -Stevenson Campus, students and teachers explored the industry across a variety of interactive zones:

A new scholarship program has been launched by Mayor Scott Gillingham to encourage Winnipeg students pursuing education in aerospace and aviation.

Valued at $1000 each, the Sky Economy Scholarship Program is now accepting applications up until Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
