Studio Central - Urban Arts Centre Community-based, peer-supported arts programming for adults.

Drop-in open studio Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday with workshops at 2:00 pm on those afternoons, and Writers Circle ONLY on Thursday afternoons 1:00-3:00. You can also check out our videos here and on YouTube for more creative technique workshops that you can do at home!

Collage art we made during the Facebook Live! The theme was to base our piece on a memory of ours and to turn it into an art piece. A part of this challenge was to hunt for photos or text that we felt represented our memory well.

What is Kaleidoscope Online?

Kaleidoscope Online is an online publication that provides an artistic and literary forum for persons with lived experience. It also assists family members, caregivers, professionals and students in gaining highly personalized insights into the recovery process. Participating artists contribute significantly in breaking down the stigma associated with mental illness.

All submissions are created by persons with lived experience with mental health issues and/or family and friends. It all comes together for an online publication which celebrates the self-expression of local talent.

Studio Central hosts the Writer’s Circle every Thursday, and participants can submit their writing to the website.
